Begins and Ends Rules

It’s not quite Cringo; it’s definitely not Ghost; it has nothing at
all to do with Trivia. Begins and Ends is a vocabulary and spelling game hosted by “Mary Kay. Each word begins
and ends with the same letter.

• Each alternating team will select a number.
• The host will give the definition and number of letters in the corresponding word.
• The active team will have 45 seconds to discuss the word.
• The team captain will submit the final word for 10 points.
• If correct, the team earns 10 points.
• If incorrect, the host will provide the beginning and ending letter and the team will have 30 seconds to guess the word for 5 points.
• If play passes to the opposing team, that team will have 30 seconds to discuss the word.
• The team captain will submit the word.
• If correct, the team will be awarded 2 points for a steal.
• No points are lost for incorrect responses.

SCORING

• Words containing 8 or more letters will earn 2 bonus points if spelled correctly on the first attempt.
• A steal is worth 2 points.

or devices allowed.
